We offer a complete, comprehensive records review that evaluates your student's academic records, evaluations, and current IEP. We review and dissect this information to recommend next steps and corrective actions. From this data, we work together to establish reachable goals, appropriate accommodations, and address services that your student should be provided based on their unique circumstances.
We offer ongoing consultation regarding your child's specific needs in the public school system. We offer consultations prior to and after IEP/504 meetings or as issues arise during the school year. We equip you with knowledge, recommendations, and next steps to take back to your child's IEP team. Consultation calls can be booked in half hour to one-hour increments.
We offer training opportunities as well as coaching and teaching events for parent groups, churches, local support groups, non-profit organizations, and other organizations interested in advancing the education of students with disabilities. Training offered nationally via video conferencing.
A special education advocate/consultant assists parents and students ages 3-22 in the public education setting in navigating the special education process from initial evaluations to IEP meetings and implementation of their program. An advocate/consultant ensures he/she is being provided an educational program that maximizes his/her potential in light of their unique circumstances. We are not attorneys so we do not give counsel, but we do give recommendations and next steps based on the data presented to us. Through a thorough records review, we can give you a clear view of what your student is currently getting and what they really need.
We advocate for students ages 3-22 in all 50 states who are enrolled in public schools.
We can assist families in any stage of the special education process.
We advocate for my clients based on 2 questions: what does the IDEA say and what does the data show? We do not advocate based on feelings or presumptions. We believe that special education processes and policies have been made to be so complicated by schools that parents feel lost in the process and ultimately become frustrated with outcomes. That's where we come in. We work with parents to figure out the best educational program for your child based on their unique circumstances.
No one can ethically offer this guarantee. However, we can work with you and your school district to shape your child's IEP for successful gains in and out of the classroom.
